  “The old proverb says that “Food and safety come as the first”,   For recent decades, food-quality incidents occur frequently and black-hearted enterprises are exposed frequently by media. The safety of food has seriously threatened peoples’ daily life. Yan Nengsheng, the chairman of Qingyang Dairy & Food Corporation, has deep understanding and remarkable insights toward such social problem.   By eight years’ struggle and development, Qingyang Dairy & Food Corporation has transited from single slaughter to a meat industrial consortium with completed category and full-function which consist of livestock cultivation, slaughter segmentation, fixed-point slaughter, cooked food process, meat reservation, cold-chain logistics, chain selling and foreign transaction. The company has become the only national agricultural leading enterprise in Loudi, Hunan province, Hunan provincial meat reservation base and 2nd batch of credit system constriction pilot enterprise in Hunan province. The products with “Qingyang” brand are awarded as famous brand in Hunan and such brand is also awarded as famous brand in Hunan.
  Establishing Quality Consciousness, Strengthening Quality Source Control
  In order to firmly check meat quality, Qingyang Dairy & Food Corporation adheres to principles of “safety procurement and eating for customers” and continuously increases the supports and supervision for cultivation base in order to ensure food security from the source. Firstly, by means of investment shares and contracts, it establishes partnership with 80 pig breeding bases, including 31 bases recorded by National Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Institutions. By establishing production and sale connections with bases, the company purchases pigs with competitive price and form cooperative mechanism of risks and benefits sharing. Such kind of mechanism realizes the unification for base management; feeding techniques; breeding improvement; beverage sources and veterinary medicines. Meanwhile, it supervises breeding enterprises implementing No. 193 Document of Announcement of Punishing the Uses of All Kinds of Illegal Drugs, and it realizes the urinalysis for pigs batch by batch and ask for “three quarantine certificates” so as to wipeout drug residues and unhealthy pigs. In other words, eliminate safety quality potential from the source. Secondly, to organize quality management team centered by general manger Yan Yangzhi and formulates quality management handbook and product criteria and technical provision in order to supervise product quality and wipeout the rejected meat outflow. Thirdly, organize technical training from all rounds. It establishes teaching group including technical leader manager Liaobo and other talents from quality control team, R & D department and base. The company organizes regular training for breeding base and workshop operators and also offer training for national, local and industrial food safety provision, which guide farmers and frontline staff to solve technical problems. The annual lecture reaches more than 50 with more than 2,000 trainees. It builds a good studying atmosphere of all staff quality management and adhering to food safety.
